About Gen. Babagana Monguno

Mohammed Babagana Monguno, CFR, is a retired Nigerian military general who was celebrated for his significant contributions to national security and the armed forces. With a career spanning over three decades, Monguno has held key positions, including Chief of Defence Intelligence and National Security Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari. His strategic leadership has been instrumental in shaping Nigeria’s security policies and tackling the nation’s security challenges. In recognition of his service, Monguno was awarded the prestigious Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) in October 2022.
